Applications for shell and tube heat exchangers
Shell and tube heat exchangers come into their own wherever oils or steam are involved. The applications below cover the media in our calculation core - enter your own case directly in the configurator.
By industry and duty
Typical duties at a glance
Hydraulic oil cooling
Presses, machine tools and hydraulic power units reject their losses through the oil - cooled against plant cooling water, with shell and tube coil in stainless steel.
Engine and gearbox oil cooling
Stationary engines, compressors and gearboxes in continuous operation: in the welded ranges there is no gasket between the media that could age or would need replacing.
Heating with saturated steam
The steam condenses on the tube side and heats water or glycol circuits; the condensation case is built into the calculation core.
Separating cooling circuits
Machine and process circuits - including glycol-bearing ones - are separated from the central cooling water network, with several units where redundancy calls for it.
Cooling test rigs and test benches
Changing load points need one defined design point; we agree the margins together in the quote.
Size your application
Enter media, temperatures and mass flows - the energy balance follows along, the individual quote comes next.
